Despite corona, it will be a very interesting program;\u00a0in part virtual and in part live. We\u2019re excited about this!<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;Reconstruction &amp; International Friendship&#8217;\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the theme of the exhibition and the (streamed) speakers program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The speakers program\u00a0\u2018Reconstruction &amp; International Friendship\u2019:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saturday 19th of June<\/li>\n<li>From 10.30 till 12.00 (CEST)<\/li>\n<li>Live streamed via link below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mayor Slinkman of Berg en Dal will open the meeting. Dutch Minister of Defense, Ank Bijleveld will be our keynote speaker. Followed by U.S. Consul General Jennifer\u00a0DeWitt\u00a0Walsh,\u00a0and Hubert Bruls, Mayor of Nijmegen. The trans-Atlantic friendship Albany-Nijmegen is highlighted as an example by Anja Adriaans,director FAN foundation.\u00a0We are very honored to welcome this group of interesting speakers who are adding luster to our anniversary!\u00a0The program has two short videos, student Juultje in conversation with her grandfather, John Leesberg, who eye witnessed both the destruction of war and the arrival of the relief goods from Albany NY. Students from the Mondial College and Kandinsky College talk about their 2019 trip to Albany.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A packed program with interesting speakers!\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nWe regret that we cannot invite you in person due to corona restrictions, but thanks to vfonds we arranged a livestream for you to follow the program. A compilation of the speakers program will later be available.\u00a0Click below for our livestream and join us\u00a0Saturday June 19th from 10.30 till 12.00 (CEST).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The exhibition<\/strong><br \/>\nThe exhibition opens from June 9th, 2021 at the indoor museum of museum park Orientalis. In this exhibition, the stichting Wederopbouwsstad Nijmegen, the Groesbeek Airborne Friends and the Freedom Museum have also made contributions from their collection. The Museumpark Orientalis actually offers 2 exhibits at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Curious about the event?
